Vintage Hand-Turned Wooden Butter Dish with Glass Insert

This is one of those little kitchen pieces that instantly feels familiar, the kind of thing you’d find in an old farmhouse pantry, tucked beside jars of honey and a loaf wrapped in cloth. Hand-turned from smooth pale wood, it’s in beautiful condition and looks to have never been used. 

The centre holds a pressed glass insert with a beautiful starburst pattern, catching the light in that quiet, lovely way old glass does. Around the rim, the wood is decorated with simple carved and painted motifs, adding just enough folk charm without feeling fussy. It’s practical, but also really special,  a piece you reach for every day without thinking – beautiful and useful.
