Titanium Chopsticks

Titanium chopsticks made in Fukuii prefecture, Japan— with sustainability, design and usability in mind. Each pair is painstakingly made by hand, as you can see here (from the 30 second mark). 

There are many advantages to titanium chopsticks. As chopsticks are things that go in your mouth, the maker selected titanium as it is a metal that is so safe doctors use it for implants inside the human body.

They are also essentially unbreakable (has the strength equivalent to iron), and one pair is meant to last you your entire lifetime. The craftsperson remarked to us that he can “pass down his pair to his children.”

Most impressively, the durability allows the maker to create the tips to be very thin, allowing for exceptional control at the tip. The tips also allow you to cut things like tofu cleanly, with no jagged edges.

Finally, they have low heat conductivity– the end of your chopsticks will not get hot even if you leave them in something very hot (only the tips!).

Do not push in dishwasher as they can develop tiny scratch marks.
