Unused Emil Schmidt drop forged hand ground stainless steel 3.5″ paring knife with aluminum riveted pakka wood handle made in Solingen Germany from approximately the early 1970s to early 80s when this type of construction was typical in Solingen. The hand ground blades are thinner than the average modern Solingen blade but are less uniform, expect slight irregularity.
Emil Schmidt was established in 1884 and grew to supply the baking trade which they continue to specialize in from Solingen.
These are unused but do show some slight wear or light surface patina (these are stainless to confirm) from storage but are otherwise 100%. unused and of a type of manufacture long done in Solingen.
approx 3.5″ blade and 7.5″ overall length
Please request free sharpening if desired, the factory edges are not super sharp
