Editor’s notes

This lovely counter was once used in a Paris bank.  Each bank teller had her own marble counter like this one, and the upper frame was fitted with pebbled glass.  The glass is long gone, and now the frame supports a graceful shelf.  We think it’s a perfect very special piece to be fitted with a sink for a powder room or mud room.
