Editor’s notes
A remarkable late 19th to early 20th century blown-glass liqueur bottle, crafted with four internal chambers designed to hold different spirits within a single vessel. These rare multi-compartment decanters were popular novelty pieces in Europe around 1880–1920, admired for both their ingenuity and sculptural beauty.
Hand-blown in clear glass with gently swollen bases and tall ribbed necks finished with applied collars, they show the subtle variations and soft waviness characteristic of pre-industrial glassmaking. Each bottle is capped with a natural cork stopper and stands as a fine example of French or Central European craftsmanship from the turn of the century.
Architectural, unusual, and wonderfully collectible—these bottles are striking display pieces as well as a testament to historic glass artistry.
