Firestone Trading Co 4pc Forged Table Knife & Fork Set Stainless & Walnut Solingen ~1950s

Marked Firestone Trading Co. fully forged stainless steel with walnut scales knife and fork set made in Solingen likely in the 1950s with the old style long tined forks but also with the word ‘stainless’ which was more beginning to be somewhat standard by the 1950s, rather than ‘rostfrei’ or ‘stain reisistant’.

These hand ground knives will do great with cutting meat being thin behind the edge, while rounded tipped table knives are referred to by many as ‘butter knives’ today as they have become very thick these old ones are ground like kitchen knives and are very capable of smooth cutting with a sharp edge. 

*Like any cutlery with wood handles, these should be hand washed and not soaked and never ever in the dishwasher*

Blades just shy of 5″ from tip to handle and 9″ overall.
